In Seizure, the second book in the Virals trilogy by #1 New York Times bestselling author Kathy Reichs (creator of the hit TV show, Bones), the very place that brought Tory Brennan and her friends together as a crime-fighting pack—the Loggerhead Island Research Institute—is out of funding and may have to shut down. That is, unless the Virals can figure out a way to save it!
So when Tory learns of an old Charleston legend about a famous she-pirate, Anne Bonney, whose fortune was never found, she can't believe her luck—buried treasure is exactly what she needs to save the Institute! Trouble is, she and her friends aren't the only ones looking for it. And this time, the Virals' special powers may not be enough to dig them out of trouble.

I loved this book. It was differentt. I ordered the first bookVirals and her latest. I haven't had a chance to read them yet. I hope there will be more books in this series instead of a trilogy

I also, have been a Kathy Reichs fan and this one was right on target. After being a law enforcement officer for 25 years (retired now) Her books bring great realization to the work. Things she say and does, are really the way they happen. Love it!

I have always been a Kathy Reichs fan, and when I saw this series, I picked up the first two books for my 17-year-old son. He is an athlete and prefers video games to reading. He read the first book, Virals, cover to cover on Saturday, only stopping to eat dinner. He couldn't wait to start Seizure. Anything that can get him hooked on reading is an A+ in my book! Next, he plans on reading the entire "Bones" series. I'm so proud!

I had high hopes for this series, but in this one the main character went from extra intelligent mixed up teenager to selfish willful brat. Wrong message for kids. Ended up glorifying outright criminal behavior and reinforcing kids' sense of invincibility. No personal growth in the character.

My grandson and I like the James Patterson books Daniel X and Witches and Wizards and I liked these so much that I am going to give them to him to read!
