"Victor threw the still lit but clearly unbroken bottle at the guy in the devil mask, hitting him in the back of the head. The bottle bounced off the devil's head and smashed against my driver's side door. The devil staggered, and instinctively pulled the mask off. Maybe he couldn't breathe, or maybe he went to feel for blood, or maybe he just wasn't thinking. Whatever the reason, the mask was only off for a second, before being yanked back over the guy's head. He turned and looked directly at me, and then he ran across the street and disappeared into the alley between two buildings.
The bottle instantly ignited when it hit my car, and flames raced along the side and the undercarriage of the Escape.…
‘Why me?’ I shrieked. ‘Why does this always happen to me? …’
‘You got bad car karma,’ Lula said. ‘But at least you're lucky at love.’ "
Stephanie Plum was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The sole witness to a gang robbery, the savvy bounty hunter has become the hunted, as a killer known as Junkman seeks to cash in on the contract on her life.

I love reading the Stephany Plum books. I laugh and cannot put the books down and start the next.

Love this series! This was one of the funniest ones in my opinion. Just can't get enough of Lula and Sally Sweet. Ranger's sexy, but so is Morelli, and I prefer Morelli.

I believe that if you read this book without starting at the first of the series, it won't make as much sense. I have read every one of the Stephanie Plum books, including Motor Mouth. I laugh, smile when I'm reading. I've never an author that I've enjoyed like Janet.

It must be nice to be Stephanie, sometimes. To be able to have two guys. Both of them being totally hott doesn't hurt either!
