I was happy to see Mooner and Dougie back, and of course Bob -- back to keep Stephanie company. It's still funny and that's why I recommended it - but you know, it starts to get a tad bit pitiful. But by now, you've gotten so attached to the characters, you keep hanging on --- reading book after book -- hoping she will settle down. Oh GOD, help me! I sound like Stephanie's mother.
If you like her, try out the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben!!

This was the first Evanovich book I read, and have since ordered the whole series. I hope Janet NEVER stops writing the Stephanie Plum books. Only problem now is, since I just ordered To the Nines, I'm gonna have to wait too long for #10 to come out. I have read 1 thru 8 in about 2 weeks (and I work full time and am raising a three year old!). When you pick one up, you can't put it down; then you regret getting to the end!

I never heard of Janet Evanovich until my friend introduced me to her books. I've been a reader of mysteries for years and can honestly tell you she is one of the best authors out there. Her books are witty and above all-hilarious. It's a different kind of mystery-one not so dark-more laughs than anything. In the last two months I have read six of her nine books and am already anticipating her tenth which hasn't even been written yet. Check her out-if you like to laugh and enjoy a good mystery, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
