I loved his book. My son has the same things in common. But what toddler is going to just sit their and don't misbehave? If you fix your lips and say your child doesn't. YOUR A LIE!!!!! It's your job as an adult to teach children right from wrong. I use this book as a teaching device. My goal is to purchase all of Mr. David Shannons books. I already own two of them so far. Mr. Shannon must be writing about his own childhood growing up. LOL I enjoyed them thus far. Thank you for all of the books that you have written thus far.

We love this book. It seems you spend all day telling a 2 year old and 4 year old. No, Don't, Stop! and It is a nice reminder that they are loved in spite of it. My 2 year old wants this book read over and over again and he laughs at all the bad things cause he knows they are no nos and he loves the last page and cuddles and snuggles with us when we get to it.

I do not have a child who misbehaves, so I thought this would be a story about consequences... I was wrong. It gave my good child bad ideas about how to misbehave, and there weren't any consequences for the badly behaved character in the book... the book more or less just says what he does that is bad behavior then the end... I was like "that's it??". Not a very well thought out book in my opinion. If you have a child that tends to act out, it might be a learning tool, ask your child what the character was doing was bad or good...etc.

We bought this years ago and my son still loves it when we are past his bed time. It is a quick fast "story" with crazy pictures. Some times in about 3 minutes, we can finish this and the sequel. When we bought it, he was about 3 and his best friend was "Davin," how he said "David." He would laugh and laugh.
