This book brings you back to earth, and makes you realize how fortunate you are. It made me realize how much I had, and how much someone can live without. It was hard to read because the things he went through I could never imagine anyone going through them and surviving like he did.

I have read all his books and found each of them sad. Even after overcoming his past and becoming quite successful as a writer and speaker, he is still scared by his past, unable to give of himself in relationships with women. Understandable, given what his mother taught him.

This is such a sad tale however written so well I had to read the three books what a horrible thing to go through yet what a strong Person and story you wont be able to put this one down.

i felt so bad for dave. his mother should have been prosecuted. or maybe taken out in a field and shot.

I have read and enjoyed the other 2 books, but this one I did not. He put the blame on his ex-wife and cannot see his fault in his marrage. He worked, did HIS speaking about children, which is fine, but left his wife alone at home. Pelzer had his work and minstry but his wife had no one. He only see himself giving her everything except what she needed, himself. would not recommend this book.
