A Song of Ice and Fire is the greatest book series of all time. A completely unpredictable plot, great morally gray characters, amazing prose, just...just...amazing. Get this book.

I'll admit it, I got GoT in pb. I have heard so much about this series; I felt I needed to give it a try. Before I was 2/3rds of the way through, I was sold. I've ordered the entire 4 book series just to have on my shelf. I humbly disagree with complaints about the names or not feeling connected to the characters, GoT has been a nonstop rollercoaster ride and I can't wait for my set to arrive so it can continue. The intrigue, plots, sub plots are superb!! This is my jump back into fantasy (besides DiscWorld, but apples and oranges)in a long time... I couldn't have opted for a better return! I can't recommend this highly enough if you want a great story and characters, with out getting bogged down in a physics or a geneology lecture. Truly a fun read!!
