A note from Thomas Kinkade:
“This year our friends in Cape Light will come to realize how great a role faith plays in one’s family, though the lessons won’t be easy...But perhaps a simple wish on a Christmas star can bring them together. Perhaps love can heal battered hearts and lift up weary spirit. Follow me to Cape Light, where the townspeople invite us into their homes year after year to enjoy the comfort and warmth of their friendship, their families, and their faith.”—Thomas Kinkade
There’s always room at the inn in Cape Light. But when hardships bring people together under one roof, things don’t always go smoothly.
Sam and Jessica Morgan’s holiday joy screeches to a halt when they lose their house to a fire. The loss weighs heavily on their marriage and, as tensions flare, they become perpetual guests in others’ homes. Meanwhile, single mom Julie Newton needs a roof over her head due to bad weather, a broken-down car and a dead cell phone. She and her daughter need Jack Baxter’s help, and Jack, still mourning the loss of his wife, can’t turn them away.
As the Morgans struggle to mend their marriage—and Jack’s heart melts with Julie’s presence—God’s grace blesses their lives.

I loved this book! It was like I could actually picture the snow and the trees. It had 2 good story lines. It was well worth the read, I can't wait to read another book by these Authors.

I have all of the Cape light books. This one was a disappointment, juvenile. My goodness, a pefect woman drops out of no where with a perfect little girl, to a troubled man transformed overnight by this "miracle.." Jessica and the fire. I would hate to know someone as spoiled and rich as she is. And the ending when her snob of a mother comes to their rescue. I honestly thought the offer would be turned down, they, having learned a lesson on material wealth. But instead, they came back bigger and better, baby and all. Too "fairytale..." Come back to earth.

I have read every book available in this series to date, and if I must choose a favorite (which is very hard) this would have to be the one. It is so unexpected, so moving, and so sweet. In these books, the stories are written so that you feel a part of Cape Light and it's residents. The first one made me feel like I was living in Cape Light for a short time. Each one after was like a letter from one of the people living there catching me up on all the important events, new people, and some fill you in on past events not fully revealed before. And though these books are wonderfully connected, one can be read on its own because of the way the previous important facts are woven into the present story so it all makes sense. If you only plan to read one, just to see what all the fuss is all about - let it be this one. But I will bet that you, like most of the Cape Light readers, will get hooked and have to read the rest. Happy reading - it is wonderful; and completely embodies the spirit of Christmas!

The Cape Light books are a great read. I love that the stories change focus on the different characters in each book. The stories always make me feel good when reading them and I am always waiting for the next book.

You really know you love a series of books when you can't wait for the next one. I've actually started to wish I lived in Cape Light.
